I still find it strange that it is the ONLY fault the ECM is reporting. I have a week off coming up and will spend some time poking around myself, I want to see if the signal from the sensor is still within the parameters when it reaches the ECM .

The ‘new’ engine still burned oil at approx 1.5 litre per 3000k’s etc. but didnt have any real issues with it except a blown cat at 90K. None the less i got rid of it at 140K and bought a VY SS series II with 30K’s on the clock.

7/7/2006  · the ECU in a clubsport is the same as whats in your SS (i think). they are just tuned differently. If you tune/edit your VX you should be able to get alot more than 255FWKW from it. Speak to a fourm sponsor if you are unsure of what to do.

12/19/2010  · Thanks for that, The engine is a 6ltr L98 and 6 speed box, which is used in the VZ’s. Using an E38 ECU but it’s not connected to the dash. I got the harness and ecu from LSX Conversions and basically had to connect an earth, Contant power and a switch IGN power and away it went, I’ve had the engine running and drove the car, but later in the build we decided to do the VZ dash conversion.

All V8 VT2, VX & VY HSV’s have Factory Headers and a better ECU Tune from the factory to suit which is why they’re generally 30kw more than the equivalent model Holden . VZ HSV has the even larger 6.0 LS2 297kw Factory Engine. These HSV’s will not make the same type of Power gains over factory as the lesser tuned Holden V8’s.
